Our story
How it all started
The founder of Methodist Movement, John Wesley’s idea of bringing the message of God to where people are and to share the good news with them gives rise to “church planting” in our present-day context. Living Stone Methodist Church (LSMC) is one such example.
LSMC has its origin in Bandar Utama Methodist Centre (BUMC) at Kayu Ara Business Park, PJ in September 2011 until it was re-located to the current premises in Cova Square, Kota Damansara and re-named the Living Stone Methodist Church on 16th February 2014
The Beginning
LSMC was constituted a local conference church on 9th August 2015, making the day a historic and memorable day. The significance of being a local conference church means LSMC has grown from infancy to adulthood, seeking financial independence from the sponsoring church, Trinity Methodist Church Petaling Jaya. It will have its own pastor and its own committee to manage the affairs of the church. The church will depend on its congregation to support all its ministries to spearhead growth. It is a new beginning for LSMC as a full-fledged church and to move forward in faith and zeal, trusting in God to be the sovereign provider of all needs, as proclaimed in Zechariah 4:6: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” So be it, may the Spirit of God rain down His blessings upon His young church with “water and to nurture its growth,” bringing many fruitful returns in due season
